Dapagliflozin is a medication of the gliflozin class, used to treat type 2 diabetes. It was produced by Bristol-Myers Squibb in organization with AstraZeneca. Dapagliflozin is a sodium-glucose cotransporter 2(SGLT2) inhibitor. It works by diminishing the measure of sugar the body assimilates and expanding the measure of sugar that leaves the body.
