Performance of Macrodiversity MIMO systems in Flat Rayleigh Fading

D.Lalitha Kumari, V.Siva Rama Divya

A multiuser system with random number of users is considered along with a receive array distributed over a flat Rayleigh fading path. The receive array performs the MMSE (Minimum mean squared error) or ZF (Zero forcing) combining and channel state information is assumed at the receiver. This type of scenario provides exact analysis results when the antennas are located in a single array. Our present phenomenon is that the receive antennas are scattered in a cell environment. In such a phenomenon the complexity arises because of the different average signal to noise ratio observed foe each link. Thus in this paper we derive approximate distributions for the output SNR of the ZF receiver and SINR of MMSE receiver. We also achieve simple high SNR approximations for Symbol error rates (SER) of both the receivers’ .We assume QPSK modulation in the transmission process. These high SNR results give the array gain and diversity order for the receivers along with the relation between the link powers and the performance of the system. For better performance of the receivers we can also implement the MMSE and ZF analysis in WiMax networks.
